The 24-105mm f/2.8 is obviously designed for occasions you can't change lenses, like event shooting. It's not designed as the very best 24mm landscape lens or your convenient walk around zoom. Or want. This seems like small difference, but is not. I, for one, don’t like changing lenses. For most situations, this 24-105/2.8 is all I need.
