I know its a widely reported issues on here with various threads. That is using 5w-30 502.00. If you are using 1L/1000km of 5w-40 502.00 there is a problem as it is a thicker oil when the engine is at operating temperature. Many of the TSI engines suffer oil usage if they have been poorly run-in (you need to keep them on boost and get pressure behind the rings in the first 1000km).
