It’s not as simple as one game is more streamable. Sales has a huge part to play in the continuation of each franchise and those sales are also determined by how accessible each game is to play as well. Devil May Cry has a higher skill requirement to get into and enjoy the series in comparison to Resident Evil.

DMC4's top notch graphics (for 2008) really make the game more enjoyable. Things like lighting and shadow were so poor in DMC3 that they may as well have not even been there. Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition is still the best in the entire series. Best story, best bosses, best levels, best pacing, etc.
